Technical Support

A number of support offices are available to assist College of Veterinary Medicine students with computer-related technical difficulties or assistance with configuring e-mail on smart phones, and tablet computers. The services offered by these support offices are described in greater detail below.

College of Veterinary Medicine IT Help

Shand’s IT provides many services to us, assistance is as close as calling the phone number listed above. The phone staff is adept at solving problems and the majority of issues are resolved in one phone call. In the event your computer issues cannot be resolved in this fashion, an IT ticket will be created for you and local on-site staff will reach out and arrange a time to look at your devices.


Education Center Circulation Desk (V1-100)

The Education Center Circulation Desk staff is the first line of support for issues with Education Center computers, monitors, keyboards, mice, printers and copier. If the Education Center Circulation Desk staff are not available, students may contact the College of Veterinary Medicine IT Help Desk (noted above) for technical problems with the computers, displays or printers.  The Circulation Desk staff also reserve group study rooms, provide basic library services, and can assist patrons with locating journals, texts, periodicals, and conducting searches of the UF Library System collection. (Please note, however, that the College IT staff cannot help students with circulating library items; or looking up library resources.)

The UF Computing Help Desk staff, located in the HUB Building on central main campus, assist students with the E-Learning System (“Canvas”),  viewing lecture videos, GatorMail, myUFL and other centrally supported IT services.
