Aim to better understand your path to the profession of veterinary medicine?
The pre-vet advisor is here to help!
Individual advising is available for all college and non-traditional students. Students must complete the pre-vet self-assessments (see below) before scheduling individual advising.
Does your college have an active pre-vet club? Contact the pre-vet advisor to discuss options!
Webinars and online presentations are available for smaller college clubs or organizations.
For High School Students
Students in middle/high school are welcome to call the pre-vet advising office (352-294-8254) to address specific questions about our program.
Please note: Pre-vet advising is not academic advising. Should you need help planning your class schedule or signing up for courses please seek the assistance of an undergraduate advisor. The University of Florida does not have a “pre-vet” major. Students interested in becoming veterinarians should seek majors they are interested in and can provide them with opportunities to complete the UFCVM prerequisite coursework.
Dr. Jamie Stahl teaches us the importance of checking in with our emotions, identifying them and finding out what's going on!
