Upon entering the DVM program, CVM students are assigned to faculty advisors and will remain with this advisor until graduation. Students will receive information about their advisor prior to the fall semester in August.
The Office for Academic and Student Affairs (ASA) makes every effort to assign an advisor to meet student needs and their career goals. Requests to change advisors are considered on a case-by-case basis and requires a formal request. At times, a student’s circumstances may even lead the ASA to suggest a different advisor than was originally assigned. More information is available in the Student Handbook.
